“鴿子偵探”（The Pigeon Detectives）是一支來自英國利茲的獨立搖滾樂隊，與北極猴子（Arctic Monkeys）是同鄉，這張《Emergency》是他們的第二張正式專輯。幾年前，The Pigeon Detectives樂隊的處子專輯《Wait For Me》在英國專輯榜當中上榜第一周曾獲得當周的季軍。 在這幾年的英倫流行樂界，復古范兒的樂隊似乎有亂花漸欲迷人眼的趨勢，想從一大批樂隊當中脫穎而出并不容易。The Pigeon Detectives就是其中之一，雖然他們的音樂風格算不上獨樹一幟，但復古的音色和較好的旋律為他們贏得了相當數量的歌迷。和那些加入舞曲元素的樂隊不同，The Pigeon Detectives還是以原始的幾大件為主。《Emergency》讓The Pigeon Detectives平穩的度過了所謂的“第二張專輯疲軟期”。
