Marionette ID, the ‘successor’ of sammy sosa band, from Hungary (Tatabánya) plays some interesting blend of modern rock styles. (Though they despise and kind of categorization.) Their heavy and emotionally deep music looks forward setting trends rather than following any. Although they lack any experimentalism that might make their music unaccessible, and they rather have some minimalist attitude, they’re still flirting with progressives structures, strange noisy patterns and unconventional rhythms. This makes their music outstand of contemporary indie/alternative/emo stuff.
