After recording her debut solo EP Talk of the Town last summer with Tom Denney at Titan Studio, this 23 year old singer is bringing a new and fresh sound to the table with her latest EP, The Takeover. Recorded and produced by Rob Freeman at The Pilot Studio in New Jersey, The Takeover’s title speaks volumes for what you can expect from the EP itself. With thoughtful lyrics, soaring guitars, and hooks galore, The Takeover is Ally’s way of putting her best stiletto clad foot forward. A San Diego native now living in Huntsville, Alabama, Ally grew up singing in choir, musical theater and taking professional vocal lessons her entire life. After fronting bands such as Atlanta based powerpop band The Soundtrack, Ally decided it was time to fly solo. Since venturing off on her own in 2009, she has grabbed the attention of many and has had her music feautured on MTV(Paris Hilton’s My New BFF: Season Two), various radio stations and absolutepunk’s homepage, to name a few.
